Uganda is a landlocked country astride the Equator in Africa. By region, it is located in East Africa and bordered by Sudan in the North, Kenya in the East, Tanzania in the South, Congo in the West and Rwanda in Southwest. The population of Uganda is about 49 million people and a total area of 236,040 sqkms. Uganda proudly hosted the historical Common Wealth Heads of Government Meeting in November 2007 and indeed a blessing to host the Queen of England and the Duke of Edinburgh amongst thousands of delegates who attended and also Uganda hosted the Organisation for Islamic conference, mid 2008.
